<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for a liquid crystal display device equipped with a film protecting means which can easily be removed without affecting adverse effect on a manufacturing process of the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The base material for the liquid crystal display device contains a plastic film 10 and an organic protective film 12 formed on the plastic film 10 and soluble in an aqueous alkali solution or in water.</p> |
