PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ozone generating apparatus used in a field of water treatment or the like, the apparatus having a simplified configuration and solving problems that although a method is conventionally disclosed for detecting abnormality of an ozone generator due to breakage of a glass tube or the like when an input power is equal to or less than a specified value with respect to an output power of an inverter equal to or more than a specified value, the conventional method is expensive as requiring detectors for an output current and an input power. SOLUTION: The ozone generating apparatus is equipped with an output circuit at a first voltage V<SB>1</SB>which outputs a voltage drop with a first time constant when abnormality occurs and an output circuit at a second voltage V<SB>2</SB>which outputs a voltage drop with a second time constant slower than the first time constant, wherein a comparator connected to the above circuits outputs an abnormality occurrence signal when the second voltage output V2 is higher than the first voltage output V1.
