PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator facility necessitating only a slight space in an elevator shaft owing to the use of a linear motor driving system. SOLUTION: This elevator facility has an elevator cage 24 and a permanent magnet linear driving system having a static part 20 and a movable part moving along the static part 20 when the permanent magnet linear driving system is driven and controlled. The elevator cage 24 is arranged in a rucksack configuration. The static part 20 has two inclined mutually acting faces including an angle of 0 to 180°. The movable part is provided with two units 21 arranged in common on a rear part side of the elevator cage 24 and connected with the elevator cage 24 mechanically and securely so that each of two units 21 produces motion along one of mutually acting faces to move the elevator cage 24 when driving and controlling.
