PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fork slewing automatic sling enabling a reduction in the size and weight of devices and enhanced in the easiness of handling. SOLUTION: This fork slewing automatic sling comprises a latching devices 22, 23 removably supporting the ends of fork members 20, 21 fixed to lower suspended frames 16, 17 horizontally slewably mounted on both sides of a suspended beam suspended from a hoist through intermediate frames 14, 15. The latching devices 22, 22 comprise a lifting rod 28 having, at its lower end, latching pieces 27 inserted into elongated holes 26 formed at the ends of the fork members 20, 21, guide members 29, 30 guiding the lifting of the lifting rod 28, a rod lifting means 31 vertically moving the lifting rod 28 by a rack and pinion mechanism, and a rod rotating means 32 rotating the latching pieces 27 of the lifting rod 28 relative to the elongated holes 26 from the latching position to the unlatching position.
