PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of favorably conveying a recording medium. SOLUTION: This image forming device 10 comprises an image forming part 14 forming a toner image on a sheet, a fixing device 52 for fixing the toner image formed by the image forming part 14 on the sheet, and a conveying device 60 for conveying the sheet on which the toner image is fixed by the fixing device 52. The conveying device 60 comprises a conveying roll 62 pressed against the sheet by springs 74a, 74b. Initial amounts of elongation of the springs 74a, 74b are so set that the amount of an increase in sheet conveying force caused by an increase in the diameter of the conveying roll 64 is larger than the amount of reduction in the sheet conveying force caused by reduction in the coefficient of friction of the conveying roll 64.
