PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work carrier in an assembly line capable of carrying works without being damaged, manufacturable at low cost, and being reduced in a space for installation. SOLUTION: This work carrier has, at its upper end, a locking part detachably locked to a hole formed at the lower surface of a work 4. The work 4 is placed on a carrier table in a supported state by carrying ball members 8 the lower ends of which rolling balls are rotatably held with parts thereof exposed downward. All carrying ball members 8 are positioned between two guide rails 38 installed along the carrying table. By the movement of the carrying ball members 8 in the direction perpendicular to the carrying direction restricted, the work is moved on the carrying table by rolling the rolling balls.
