PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet separation member used together with a paper feeding roller to prevent the double feeding of paper sheets, having excellent wear resistance, capable of maintaining a predetermined coefficient of friction even if letting a paper sheet pass repeatedly, and being usable stably for a long time, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This paper sheet separation member 2 is arranged in a state that it is brought into pressure-contact with the paper feeding roller 1 to separate a plurality of paper sheets 10 from one another one by one and feed them sequentially between the paper feeding roller 1 and it.
