A display device and a fabrication method thereof are provided to reduce resistance of a metal electrode by forming the metal electrode as a multi layer metal layer structure. In a method for fabricating a display device, a first electrode is formed on a substrate(110). An organic layer(130) is formed on the first electrode. A bottom metal layer(141) is formed on the organic layer. An oxidation process is performed to form an oxidation layer on a part of the bottom electrode layer. A top metal layer(142) is formed on the bottom metal layer.
