<p>An apparatus and a method for reproducing music through multiple channels by using a plurality of cable/wireless communication devices are provided to enable each device to reproduce only audio data of a channel assigned thereto, thereby allowing a user to listen to stereophonic sound according to each physical position of each device. A master unit(210) searches for peripheral devices capable of performing cable/wireless communication, assigns information about audio channels to the searched peripheral devices, encodes information about the channels and information about synchronization as index information, and transmits the index information together with a music data file. Each of slave units(220,230,240,250,260) receives the index information and the music data file from the master(210) and decodes information about a channel assigned thereto and information about synchronization, thereby outputting music data of a corresponding channel.</p> |
