PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sandbag used for foot protection to prevent scour and erosion at coasts, rivers, lakes, and ponds and in which stitches do not collapse even if a load is applied thereto by a filler. SOLUTION: This sandbag 10 is made of a raschel fabric. The fabric has a large number of rectangular stitches S. The stitches are prevented from being collapsed by knitting. The fabric is formed of a vertical strand X and a horizontal strand Y. The vertical strand X is knitted with chain yarns 1 and insertion yarns 2. The horizontal strand Y is knitted with each insertion yarn 2 of the adjacent vertical strand X. The insertion yarn 2 of the vertical strand X is lapped to the chain yarn 1 at the front and rear of the horizontal strand Y. The sandbag 10 is formed of a bottom surface part 11, four side surface parts 12, and a cover surface part 13. Hook parts F for lifting are fitted to the top ends of the side surface parts 12.
