PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overrun prevention device of an electric shutter, which can easily set an upper limit value without imposing an overload on an emergency switch. SOLUTION: The electric shutter device is provided with an upper limit overrun detector. In a limit setting mode of the electric shutter device, if the upper limit overrun detector 7 is activated during elevation of a shutter curtain to stop the shutter curtain 1, a position in the vicinity of a stopped position P1 and lower than a detection section of the upper limit overrun detector, is stored as a temporary upper limit position P2, and the shutter curtain 1 is prevented from elevating to a position upper than the temporary upper limit position P2 while the shutter device is set in the limit setting mode.
