PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood for an automobile capable of reducing a deformation load at the time of a secondary collision when a head and the like are collided even if a bead is formed in the direction parallel to the width direction of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In this hood 1 for an automobile, an inner panel 3 comprises an inner peripheral edge 3a, a frame recessed part 31, and a bead 33 whose longitudinal direction is parallel to a width direction of the vehicle at a panel central position beyond the frame recessed part 31. The bead 33 has a top face 33b having a panel joint 33a, a front inclined face 33c forming an inclined face to a panel plane 32 in front of the top face 33b in a vehicle traveling direction, and a rear inclined face 33d forming an inclined face to the panel plane 32 at the rear of the top face 33b in the vehicle traveling direction. An angleθ1 between the front inclined face 33c and the front panel plane 32, and an angleθ2 between the rear inclined face 33d and the rear panel plane 32 are formed to 155°or more.
