APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING PLASTIC TUBES

An apparatus for producing seamless plastic tubes having an injection head to which molten plastic material is fed by an extrusion device. The injection head has a plate-shaped distribution device having an intake openi ng into which feed passages open for the molten plastic material. Distribution passages extend in a star configuration from the intake opening perpendicularly to the axis of the injection head, wherein each distribution passage has a straight radial passage portion and three branch passages, each of which goe s into arcuate passage portions which communicate with an annular gap of the injection head, with the adjacent ends at a respectively identical angular spacing, and each introduces a respectively identical volume flow into the annular gap. This plate-shaped distribution device affords a structurally simple configuration which is of a compact engineered structure which is easy to produce while ensuring a high degree of homogeneity of the flow of molten plastic material.
