A spherical aberration correction method for an optical disc and an apparatus suitable for the same are provided to effectively correct influence by a spherical aberration according to the thickness deflection of the optical disc. An optical disc is divided into a plurality of zones in a radius direction, and spherical aberration correction values in the respective zones are measured(S102,S104,S106). A spherical aberration in a specific position of the optical disc is corrected by the linear interpolation of the spherical aberration correction values of the adjacent zones(S108-S120). Sizes of the zones are uniform in the radius direction of the optical disc. |
