The invention relates to electrochemistry, in particular to an electrolyte for dimensional electrochemical working of hard tungsten-cobalt alloys. Summary of the invention consists in that the electrolyte comprises potassium or sodium hydroxide, potassium or sodium azotate, formaldehyde and water, in the following component ratio, g/l:potassium or sodium hydroxide�50à150potassium or sodium azotate�25à150formalin (30%)���2à90water����the rest.The result consists in increasing the working speed and in decreasing the work alloy surface roughness.
