<p>The invention relates to a packing element for wet cooling towers and to packing for wet cooling towers, made by using such elements, which may be crossed by a dirty liquid medium, and also by a gaseous medium in counterflow and/or in crossflow. According to the invention, the packing element for cooling towers is provided with some continuous lateral strips (a, b, c and d), with some lower ribs (e, f and g), inclined at an angle of 45A relative to the lateral strips (a, b, c and d) as well as with some upper ribs (h, i, j and k) inclined at an angle of 45A relative to the lateral strips (a, b, c and d) between the lower ribs (e, f and g), upper ribs (h, i j and k) and also strips (a and d), and the continuous lateral strips (b and c), respectively, there are provided some main dropping paths (I), parallel to the lateral strips (b and d) and some secondary dropping paths (m) parallel to lower ribs (e, f and g) and with the upper ribs (h, i, j and k), the main dropping paths (I) and the secondary dropping paths (m) are crossed by some oblique dropping paths (n and o).</p> |
