PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure pump suppressing uneven wear of a plunger. SOLUTION: This high-pressure pump has the plunger 33 reciprocatingly arranged inside a cylinder formed in the body of the pump, and a coil spring 41 interposed between the body and the plunger 33 and energizing to push out the plunger 33 from the cylinder. The coil spring 41 is arranged in a manner that its central axis matches with the moving shaft of the plunger 33. In this high-pressure pump, the plunger 33 is reciprocatingly moved inside the cylinder through push-pressing by a rotating cam. A plate 40 is interposed between the plunger 33 and the coil spring 41. The end of the coil spring 41 on the side of the plate 40 and the plate 40 are fixed. Surface roughness of the contact part of the bottom part 43 of the plate 40 with the plunger 33 is set larger in comparison with the surface roughness of the other parts of the plate 40.
