PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING PRE-INSULATED PIPES

The invention relates to pipe insulation, in particular, to a process of applying heat-insulating coating from foaming agents, e.g. polyurethane foam on the pipe outer surface.The inventive task is to develop a process which provides quick and simple applying heat insulation on a pipeline using a pre-insulated pipe with similar heat-insulating properties for the whole length.Prior to placing the pipe into a jacket pre-manufactured centering segments made from heat-insulating material arranged and mounted on the pipe, the segments are spaced in groups equip distributed over the circumference with angular displacement of each segment group relative to the pipe axis.There are some other differences from the prototype.The process permits to manufacture a pre-insulated pipe having similar heat-insulating properties for the whole length.
