Disclosed is a slow release granule composition suitable for controlled application as a fertiliser and/or nutrients to plants and as a soil amendment, wherein the granule composition further comprises: (a) a zeolite core; (b) a layer of diatomite surrounding said zeolite core; and (c) an outer coating. A process for preparing such granules is also provided.
