Disclosed herein is a method for producing rooted cuttings of arboreous plants that comprises inserting scions of arboreous plants in a medium and spraying the inserted scions with at least one member selected from the group consisting of carbon dioxide solution, oxygen solution, carbonate ion solution, and hydrogen carbonate ion solution, to accelerate their rooting abilities.
