#CMT# #/CMT# The assembly has a clutch pedal (6), a brake pedal (8), and an accelerator pedal (10), each comprising a shoe plate (16) and a connection unit (18) that connects the shoe plate to a floor pan (12) of a motor vehicle. The connection unit laterally extends with respect to the shoe plate while leaving a space located between the plate and the floor pan such that the unit is viewed from a driver seat. An energy absorbing padding (30) is associated to each pedal. The padding is located at the front and facing the space in a running direction of the vehicle. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for a motor vehicle (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The connection unit laterally extends with respect to the shoe plate while leaving a space located between the plate and the floor pan such that the unit is viewed from the driver seat, thus clearing the space such that the foot of the driver is not subjected to sudden stop in case of impact of the vehicle. The shape of the pedals permits the heel of the foot of the driver to be depressed in the padding in case of front impact while the front part of the foot rests on the shoe plate, thus absorbing a part of the energy necessary for protecting the lower limbs of the driver without requiring a pyrotechnic device.
