A box (5) surmounting the reader allows insertion, by a card carrier, of a confidential code assigned to the carrier. A plastic flap (8) integrated at guiding slits in a frame (10) slides between a lower position in which it exposes an opening of another slit to insert the card in the reader and blocks the reader to avoid insertion, and an upper position in which it covers lower keys of the box while exposing their upper surface. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for fighting against fraud affecting a card payment system (claimed) e.g. bank terminal or payment terminal, in an automaton that provides services upon payment through a payment card e.g. bank card, in France. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The dimensioning of the flap and the positioning of the lateral guiding slits provide a space, separating the upper surface of the keys and the flap, that is reduced for preserving a mechanical clearance while prohibiting the installation of auxiliary keyboard that is suitable to acquire the codes in a fraudulent manner, and the installation of the skimmer at the insertion slit and prohibiting the capture of the magnetic track and the confidential code stored in the chip.
