A method and device are disclosed for obtaining and storing a personal digital certificate and a method for protected exchange of digital information. Compared to prior art methods and devices of digital information storing, the disclosed invention is characterized by substantial increase of privacy level storing as generated personal secret key is unknown by its owner and verifying the personal digital certificate in the authorized body and increasing privacy level of information transmission via different communication channels, as well as for improving the authenticity of the information transmission due to the use of electronic digital signature.
