The present relation to a composition comprising erythropoietin-like molecules selected from the group consisting of erythropoietin, one or more muteins of erythropoietin, one or more derivatives of erythropoietin, characacterized in that an average number of Lewis X structures on N-linked glycans per erythropoietin-like molecule is at least about 2.2., 2.6, 2.7, 3.6, 4.1, 5.7. The invention also relates to said composition, in which N-linked glycans in erythropoietin-like molecules are mainly biantennary structures. Besides, the invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation comprising said composition, to the use of said composition as a medicament and to a method of preventive and/or therapeutical treatment of disorders providing administering to a human or animal subject said composition.
