METHOD FOR PRODUCING NUCLEAR FUEL COMPOSITE MATERIAL OF (U,Pu)O2 AGGREGATES DISPERSED IN UO2 MATRIX

FIELD: production of nuclear fuel composite materials. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method for producing composite material composed of mixture of UO2 and PuO2 aggregates dispersed in UO2 includes following steps: 1) joint dry milling of powdered UO2 and powdered PuO2 (the latter may be fully or partially replaced by sorted-out recovered powdered mixture of (U, Pu)O2 oxides to obtain homogeneous original mixture; 2) compaction of original mixture to obtain linked aggregates; 3) sifting of aggregates to obtain sizes ranging between 20 and 350 mum; 4) dilution of sifted aggregates in UO2 matrix to obtain powder mixture; 5) pelletizing of powder mixture; 6) calcination of pellets to obtain composite material. ^ EFFECT: improved ability of nuclear fuel to liberate gaseous decay products. ^ 14 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
