The process comprises placing a layer of filler metal (10), e.g. an alloy based on tin, aluminum, titanium or copper, between a support (1) and a component (4) to be welded to it before applying a spot-welding electrode (20). A current applied through the electrode melts zones (16) of the filler metal layer and brazes the component to the support. The filler metal layer can be fixed to the support before the metal component is fitted, or it can be applied in the form of a coating. |
