The weaving machine is equipped with a shedding device (2), with a weft insertion device, with a reed (12) for beating up a weft yarn (10) on a beating up edge (14) of the web of fabric (16), and with a fabric take-off (18). In order to improve the weaving process and to reduce the pre-weaving, the fabric web (16) is guided via at least one free-wheeling device (20), which clears the take-off path and prevents the web of fabric (16) from moving backwards in the opposite direction. The free-wheeling device (20) is assigned to the beating up edge (14). |
