<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a metal core (1) which is a good conductor of heat and is placed in the center of a vegetable to be cooked (3) along a privileged path of sap. The sap is heated and diffused in the vegetable as coolant. A flat washer (2) added in thermal head of the core acts as temperature sensor of a heat source and transmits sensed heat from the heat source to the core and the vegetable. The core and the head are made of different materials. The core is provided in a spiral shape and the head operates by direct heating, by conduction, by convection, by radiation or combination of them. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for economizing energy during cooking of a root e.g. potato and beetroot. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The device permits to obtain a better gustatory quality while economizing almost half of the energy necessary to the cooking mode. The washer added in the thermal head of the core transmits the sensed heat from the heat source to the vegetable, thus allowing to cook the vegetable in a better manner without external pollution such as vapor, crackle and fat. The metal core is provided in the spiral shape, thus facilitating its penetration into the vegetable.
