The device has a rectangular frame (2) formed of two side rails (7) and two cross pieces (8) and equipped with an upright (3) at each of its angles to maintain a load in position during transportation. The frame has upright storing zones (4) arranged partially in the thickness of the frame and accessible from a surface above the frame. Gussets (5) are connected to the rails and cross pieces, and formed of a hollow profiled section receiving the uprights. Each upright has a stop (6) to limit uprights` deflection in the gussets, where length of the uprights is equal to the length of the rails.
