An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce a brightness variation by reducing a data charging amount for the latter one of successive frames. An LCD device includes a gate high voltage generator(210), a timing controller(220), a switch(230), and a gate driver(240). The gate high voltage generator generates high level gate high voltage and low level gate high voltage for determining a high level of scan pulse. The timing controller controls supply of the high and low level gate high voltages and controls inversion and driving timings of frames. The switch selectively switches between the high and low level gate high voltages according to the control of the timing controller. The gate driver sequentially supplies high level scan pulse, which is determined by the high or low level gate high voltage inputted from the switch, according to the control of the timing controller.
