摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for monitoring a state of gas flow at a furnace top on-line at all times with high accuracy, a monitoring device, a computer program, and the like. SOLUTION: This monitoring method includes: installing a camera 5 on a top part of a blast furnace, such as a charging portion at a furnace top; taking an image of a region in which the gas flow is formed; image-processing the imaged picture and making an accumulation section 10 accumulate gray-scale image matrix data therein; deriving a separation matrix by making an independent component analysis section 11 analyze an independent component in time-series data of the accumulated gray-scale image matrix data, which is a pre-processing operation; and monitoring a time-series change of an independent component signal, through making an operation-monitoring section 12 sequentially calculate the signal of the independent component in the imaged picture for the state of the gas flow by multiplying the gray-scale image matrix of the imaged picture for the state of the gas flow, which is sequentially image-taken on-line, by the separation matrix.
