The process involves providing a checking circuit (1) that has n through openings (7-1 - 7-6, 8-1 - 8-6, 9-1 - 9-6, 10-1 - 10-6, 11-1 - 11-6), where n is a whole number greater than one. The through openings consist of reproductions that are susceptible to be an origin of a defect of metallization. A current of a predetermined intensity is applied between two electrical terminals (16 - 18, 20 - 22), of the circuit, where a voltage measured at terminals of through openings is reduced by the defect.
