PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with a heat accumulator performing heat accumulation and heat radiation using a hydrate slurry causing a supercooling phenomenon, in which when supercooling of an aqueous solution is released in a heat transfer surface within a heat exchanger, adhesion of generated hydrate to the heat transfer surface within the heat exchanger is apt to occur, resulting in deterioration of heat transfer performance of the heat exchanger or clogging of the heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The heat accumulator including a thermal storage medium storage container 102, a heat accumulation cycle 11 and a heat radiation cycle 13, a thermal storage medium to be carried into a thermal storage medium heat radiation part 105 of the heat radiation cycle 13 is laid in solid-liquid coexistent state, whereby supercooling is prevented.
