PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge of an on-carriage type, which has a well-molded ink feeding port and an area around the same with good efficiency, and can excellently discharge bubbles. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge includes the ink feeding port 4a formed in one surface 6 of an ink storage chamber 2a, and a projection 7a formed inside the ink storage chamber so as to correspond to the ink feeding port 4a. The projection 7a has a through hole 8a which is formed so as to extend in a longitudinal direction of the ink storage chamber when viewed from the surface 6, and communicates with the ink feeding port 4a.
