PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device capable of burning a solid fuel on a combustion pan and effectively discharging ash and an unburnt material. SOLUTION: In this combustion device, when an outer ring 58 is turned in one direction to an inner ring 44, an inside fuel discharge port 50 of the inner ring 44 is closed by the outer ring 58, and then, the inner ring 44 is turned integrally with the outer ring 58 in one direction with respect to a grate 42. In this way, the solid fuel in the outer circumference part of the grate 42 is stirred by the inner ring 44, and good combustion is maintained. When the outer ring 58 is turned in the other direction to the inner ring 44, the inside fuel discharge port 50 of the inner ring 44 is opened by the outer ring 58, and then, the inner ring 44 is turned integrally with the outer ring 58 in the other direction with respect to the grate 42 and the opened inside fuel discharge port 50 is turned around the circumference of the grate 42. In this way, ash of the solid fuel in the outer circumference part of the grate 42 and unburnt materials are effectively discharged from the inside fuel discharge port 50.
