<p>The invention provides a method for the disposal of chlorine-containing waste which can separate and recover chlorine components from chlorine-containing waste and which attains high chlorine removal efficiency, formation of high-purity chlorine compounds, and reduction in the water consumption for the recovery of chlorine; and equipment for the disposal thereof. The method is characterized by comprising the water-washing and filtration step of separating a slurry containing chlorine-containing waste and water into a solid matter and a filtrate and recycling the solid matter as raw material for cement, the filtration step of adding a reducing agent and a pH regulator to the filtrate to form a precipitate containing heavy metals and calcium and separating the precipitate by filtration, the crystallization step of concentrating the obtained filtrate under heating through evaporation to form a slurry containing crystals of chlorine compounds, separating this slurry into a solid matter containing chlorine compounds and a mother liquor, and recovering the solid matter, and the mother liquor disposal step of recycling part of the mother liquor to a cement production plant.</p> |
