The invention refers to A storing device (1) for knifes, with an open and a closed position, comprising a receiving unit (11) and a bottom unit (5), said bottom unit being mounted on a substantially planar surface, wherein said receiving unit (11) is adapted for receiving at least one knife, such that said at least one knife may be pulled out or put in said receiving unit (11). To secure a safe storing of knifes the storing device is provided with a blocking member (7), positioned such that said at least one knife not may be pulled out when the storing device (1) is in the closed position, and said receiving unit (11) or blocking member (7) is pivotably connected to said bottom unit (5), such that said receiving unit (11) or blocking member (7) may be pivoted between said open and closed position. |
