<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat using system 1, capable of achieving energy saving by improving combustion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The waste heat using system 1 comprises an air supply means 4 supplying new air containing oxygen to a burner 3 set in a heating furnace 2, an exhaust means 5 exhausting high-temperature gas generated by combustion of the heating furnace 2, and a heat exchanger 6 replacing thermal energy of the high-temperature gas to the new air. The exhaust means 5 is adapted to derive the high-temperature gas from a lower portion thereof to the heat exchanger 6 and exhaust the gas from an upper portion of the heat exchanger.
