PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to control reproduction of a content without requiring a user to be specifically conscious that the content has been already delivered or is currently delivered.

SOLUTION: When a stop button is depressed during reproducing a predetermined video-recorded program (YES in step S95), a video-recording/reproducing apparatus reproduces a program whose video-recording time band includes a time before two minutes of a stop designation time, from a reproduction start position corresponding to the time before two minutes of the stop designation time (steps S98-S103). This apparatus is applicable to a video-recording/reproducing apparatus such as a hard disk video recorder.
