PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternator for a vehicle which can improve an increase in output power in accordance with the decrease of a temperature, and can reduce magnetic noise. SOLUTION: The alternator for the vehicle is provided with a rotor, a stator 2, a housing, etc. The stator 2 comprises a stator core 32 circumferentially having a plurality of slots 35 arranged to be opposed to the rotor to be axially extended, and a stator winding wound to the stator core 32. The stator winding has an electric conductor 331a or the like inserted into the slot 35. Each electric conductor 331a or the like has a width smaller than a width in a peripheral direction of the slot 35, and is brought into contact with one of a slot internal wall surfaces opposed in a circumferential direction.
