PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass molding apparatus of which the whole of press surface is made to have a temperature suitable to press glass and which is capable of obtaining high quality and efficient glass molded article, and a glass molding method. SOLUTION: In the glass molding apparatus, the a heat exchange room 270 of a third upper mold 250 of an upper mold 20 has a part constituted so that the bottom face part 272, which is an example of face opposite to press face, has a shape in which the thickness is made continuously thinner when going toward the inside from the outside, and is formed as a part of the inner wall.
