PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems wherein failure and damage are likely to occur in a loading sensor composed of a limit switch, etc. because the loading sensor comes into friction-contact with a bottom face of a load directly in the form in which the loading sensor is provided on an upper face of a lift table supporting the load and the loading sensor is likely to become an obstacle when handling the lift table to store it by folding. SOLUTION: This lifter is constituted in such a way that a table base 4 on which the lift table 3 is attached and supported to/on a lift carriage 2 elevating and lowering relative to a lift frame 1 is provided by hanging it down and the loading sensor 5 is provided between the lift carriage 2 and the table base 4.
