PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top pivot device for reverse mounting having excellent operability and capable of surely maintaining its installation state. SOLUTION: This top pivot device for reverse mounting comprises a base plate 10 installed at the top of a door, a pivot arm 13 performing a seesaw operation around a swing shaft 12 by installing it on a bearing part 11 with the swing shaft 12 of the base plate 10 through the swing shaft 12, an adjusting mechanism part 15 installed at one end of the pivot arm 13 and adjusting the seesaw operation of the pivot arm 13 by the vertical movement of the one end, and a top pivot shaft 17 slidably stored in the shaft case 18 of the base plate 10 and storably projecting from the upper surface of the door following the seesaw operation of the pivot arm 13 by locking it to the other end of the pivot arm 13.
