PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling nozzle and a filling method which makes a filler difficult to stick to the outer circumference of an outlet at the lower end of a cylinder when the filler is filled into a container so as to reduce cleaning work on the nozzle and a sealing failure on the container. SOLUTION: The filling nozzle includes: the cylinder 21 which has a filler supply port 22 on the side wall of the cylinder 21 and the filler outlet 23 on the lower end of the cylinder 21; and a piston 31 which moves up and down inside the cylinder 21. The filler supplied from the supply port 22 into the cylinder 21 is cast from the outlet 23 into the container facing the outlet 23 as the piston 31 is moved down. A gas blowout portion 41 is formed on the part of the side wall that is below the supply port 22 and above the lower end of the cylinder 21, and a gas is blown out of the gas blowout portion 41 toward the outer circumference of the outlet 23 at the lower end of the cylinder 21.
