PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter-exchanging method for a dust collector, and an auxiliary device for the filter exchange, which devise the filter exchange of the dust collector by carrying out an once attachment of a recovery bag to the dust collector and an once cutting operation of the recovery bag extremely easy and without fail. SOLUTION: In the recovery bag PN formed so as to fit a size enough to hold two or more filters, a new filter 12 is put in by making a recovery space portion P1 where at least one filter can be put in, and the portion containing the new filter 12 is formed in an independent accommodation space portion P2 partitioned from the recovery space portion P1. After a mouth PX of the recovery bag PN is attached to a filter attaching mouth 9 of the dust collector 1, a lid body 10 is removed to put the used filter 11' in the recovery space portion P1 of the recovery bag, and from the accommodation space portion P2 the new filter 12 is inserted into the filter attaching mouth 9 to be attached.
