PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage detection and drainage stop mechanism which discovers leaked water automatically and can stop drainage from a fully automatic washing machine under a situation where there is no supervision of an operator. SOLUTION: A sensor for detecting leaked water is placed near a drain outlet. In addition, a fully automatic washing machine is equipped with a mechanism which stops drainage when water leaks.
