The inclinometer has a housing (4) with a fluid, which forms a fluid horizon, and a collimated lens (6) integrated into a base of a fluid container. A sensor (8) has a linear spatial region for receiving radiation (S) and converting the radiation into signals. An optical unit has a beam path for reproduction of the radiation on the sensor, and an evaluation unit (10) determines an inclination of the signals. The optical unit reproduces a mark on the sensor based on a reflection at the horizon, and the inclination in two orthogonal axes is determined from a position of the mark on the sensor.
