The method involves cutting or punching of partial areas e.g. alphabetic character, number and arrow, from foils, which coincides in size, form and color with the original partial areas of a target surface which is to be repaired. The cutting or punching foils are brought onto the target surface in a custom-fitting manner. A digital pattern is utilized for cutting or punching, where the foils are retroreflecting and have rear-sided self-adhesive. A shield area is brought by a screen printing method on a front side coated with a foil reflector.
