<p>The invention relates to an organic insecticide mixture which is used to control Aedes aegypti and which comprises the following natural extracts, namely: an extract of Quillaja saponaria which destroys insect chitin; an extract of Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium (pyrethrins) which penetrates the insect, thereby paralysing the nervous system of same and causing death; an extract of Azadirachta indica, Azadirachtin, which interferes in the life stage changes thereof, inhibits feeding and performs a repellency function; liquid plant soap based on Quillaja saponaria, which destroys insect chitin, provides adhesion and disperses the other components, thereby improving the effectiveness of the properties thereof; and an aqueous extract of garlic (Allium spp) which performs a repellency function. The invention also relates to a method of controlling Aedes aegypti, consisting in applying a dose of 4 ml per litre of water of the organic insecticide mixture directly onto larvae, pupae and the adults of the Aedes aegypti fly. The inventive method is suitable for use in dwellings, drinking and dining establishments, open spaces, etc., without requiring the subsequent application of aromatic products.</p> |
