PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively protect an oil pan from damage even when a front exhaust pipe is collided with the oil pan, without change in material of the oil pan and significant change in shape of the oil pan. SOLUTION: In frontal impact accident, the front exhaust pipe 13 disposed in front of the oil pan 6 which is fixed to a bottom face of an engine 1 moves backward and is interfered with an upper oil pan 7 disposed to the oil pan 6, a flange part 13e of the front exhaust pipe 13 is brought into contact with projection parts 16a, 16b formed to side faces 7c, 7d of the upper oil pan 7, so that collision stress is dispersed. Since the collision stress is dispersed in projection parts 16a, 16b, the upper oil pan 7 is effectively protected from the damage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
